Eligibility

We will accept applications from predoctoral, postdoctoral, and clinical scholars. All scholars must be US citizens or permanent residents. Further, candidates should be focused on pursuing a career in basic, clinical, or translational research in KUH-related areas. Specific criteria for predoctoral and postdoctoral/clinical scholars is described below:

Predoctoral scholar eligibility requirements:

• Received a baccalaureate degree.  
• Enrolled in a PhD or master’s program or equivalent at one of the three San Deigo KUH partner institutions. 
• Completed degree-required coursework. 
• Not previously received >5 years of aggregate NRSA support. 

Postdoctoral/clinical scholar eligibility requirements:

• Received a PhD, MD, PharmD, or comparable doctoral degree from an accredited institution.
• Appointed to a postdoctoral or clinical scholar position or equivalent at one of the three San Diego KUH partner institutions.
• Not received >3 years of aggregate NRSA support.
